7 to 10 workdays are what it generally takes to build a deck. Size, finish details and inspection from local municipality are a big variable which may cause delays.

Wood decks are framed (built) with pressure treated (water resistance lumber) and have different types of material incorporated or used to enhance or change the finish appearance. We have pressure treated lumber (most economical) but must be maintained to extend lifespan, trex and vinyl railing is more costly but requires less maintenance.

The most cost friendly deck is a deck that is finish with all pressure treated lumber such as the pressure treated decking board, post, railings, balusters and stairs.  

Although the decking and railing with last 12-15 years or more, the deck substructure is most important. Pressure treated frames generally last 5-8 years in our climate.
